(QUARRY PLACE, GWAUN CAE GURWEN) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is hereby given that Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).
The effect of the Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic from proceeding along the length of road set out in the Schedule below whilst the Order is in force. During such periods as are indicated by traffic signs informing the public that the road is closed.
The Order is necessary to enable Drainforce to carry out drain maintenance works in the road and for the Highways Section to carry out any ancillary highway maintenance works resulting therefrom.
The Order will come into force on the 10th August 2026 and shall continue in force for a maximum duration of 18 months, or until the works are completed whichever is the sooner, but it is anticipated the works will take 2 days to complete.
SCHEDULE
Quarry Place will be closed from its junction with Heol Cae Gurwen in a westerly direction for a distance of 180m along its length.
There is no alternative route for vehicular traffic.
Access for emergency services, residents and pedestrians will be maintained.
