ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE – NOTTINGHAM ROAD, SW17
- The Council of the London Borough of Wandsworth HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate highway works ("the works") they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to introduce road closures in the roads detailed in Paragraph 2.
- Whilst the works take place, no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed, wait or stand in Nottingham Road from its junction with St James’s Drive for a distance of 15 metres.
- The Order will come into effect on 27 July 2026 will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months. The works are expected to be completed by 7 August 2026.
- An alternative route for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Brodrick Road and Trinity Road.

Nothing in the Order applies to:
(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;
(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or
(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.
- Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

SURREY LANE ESTATE, CHANGES TO THE PARKING REGULATION SCHEME
- NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Wandsworth ("the Council") on 22 July 2026 made the following Order under sections 32, 33, 35 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and the Traffic Management Act 2004.
- The Wandsworth (Housing Estate Roads and Car Parks) (Amendment No. 1) Order 2026
- The general effect of the Housing Estate Roads and Car Parks Order would be to amend the existing TMO for the Surrey Lane Estate to provide for changes to the parking layout.
- A copy of the Order, which comes into force on 27 July 2026 and of documents including plans giving more detailed particulars of the Order is available for inspection until the last day of a period of six weeks, beginning with the date on which the Order is made, during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive in The Customer Centre, The Town Hall, Wandsworth High Street, London, SW18 2PU.
- If any person wishes to question the validity of the Order or of any of their provisions on the grounds that they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any requirement of the said Act of 1984 or of any instrument made under the said Act of 1984 has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made, apply for that reason to the High Court.
