TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):
ORDER NO. MCC000 151562479: The City of Manchester (Wilmslow Road, Old Moat Ward) (Temporary Closure of Cycle Lane) Order 2026 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit any pedal cycle (and any pedestrian) from proceeding at any time in the following length of cycle lane: Wilmslow Road. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate major works to repair leak in the carriageway. It is expected that the works will be in progress on the 9th August 2026. The order shall come into operation on the 9th August 2026and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Dated: 28th July 2026.
ORDER NO. MCC 151514903: The City of Manchester (Heald Place, Moss Side Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2026 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Heald Place. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Great Western Street, Wilmslow Road, Moss Lane East. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate the Removal of a Crane. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 4th August 2026 to 11th August 2026. The order shall come into operation on 4th August 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Kevin Gillham.
