Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

ASHFORD AREA

(CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2026

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is given that The Kent County Council, acting as the Local Traffic Authority, in exercise of its powers and under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3(2), 4(1) and (2), 32(1), 35(1), 44, 45, 46, 49 and 53 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’) and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby make the following Order:-

The effect of the made named Order will be to:-

a. consolidate all stopping, waiting and loading prohibitions and restrictions and parking place provisions in all roads within the Borough Council of Ashford as marked and signed on street; and

b. present the provisions for all stopping, waiting and loading prohibitions and restrictions and parking places in a new Map-based Traffic Regulation Order without change to those provisions, as currently marked and signed on street.

The Order was made on 30 July 2026 and its provisions will come into effect on 31 July 2026.

Anyone may, by application to the High Court within 6 weeks of the date of publication of this Notice, challenge the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in them on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or any instrument made thereunder, or that there has been a failure to comply with any statutory requirement to the Orders.

FOLKESTONE & HYTHE AREA

(AMENDMENT No.22) ORDER 2026

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is given that The KENT COUNTY COUNCIL, acting as the Local Authority and in exercise of its powers under Sections and 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 44, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (‘the Act’) the Traffic Management Act 2004, and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby make the following order:-

The effect of the named Order will be to place double yellow lines (DYL) no waiting at any time on the following lengths of road in New Romney, Folkestone and Hythe:-

LYDD ROAD – DYL - (1) On the south-west side from its junction with Speakers Close for a distance of 45 metres in a north-westerly direction. (2) On the south-west side from its junctions with Speakers Close for a distance of 49 metres in a south-easterly direction. (3) On the north-east side from its junction with Sussex Road to its junction with Longshore Grove excluding the disabled persons parking bay. (4) On the north-east side from its junction with Longshore Grove for a distance of 14 metres in a north-westerly direction. (5) On the north east side from its junction with Sussex Road for a distance of 11 metres in a southerly direction. (6) Remove the DPPB from outside 1 Spitalfield Terrace. SPEAKERS CLOSE – DYL – On both sides from its junction with Lydd Road for a distance of 5 metres in a south westerly direction. SUSSEX ROAD – On the south side place the DPPB from a point 10 metres east of the junction with Lydd Road for a distance of 6.6 metres in a easterly direction.

The Order was made on 30 July 2026 and its provisions will come into effect on 31 July 2026.

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

The KENT COUNTY COUNCIL, acting as the Local Authority and in exercise of its powers under Sections and 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 44, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (‘the Act’) the Traffic Management Act 2004, and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby proposes to make the following order:-

The effect of the named Order will be to place single yellow lines (SYL) no waiting at any time between 1 April and 30 September and double yellow lines (DYL) no waiting at any time on the following lengths of road in Dunkirk, Dymchurch, Folkestone and Hythe:-

DUNKIRK CLOSE – DYL – On both sides at its junction with St Mary’s Road for a distance of 24 metres in a southerly direction. EASTBRIDGE ROAD – SYL – On both sides extending the existing single yellows lines from halfway through property number 15 Eastbridge Road to the north entrance of 35 Eastbridge Road in a northerly direction. ST MARY’S ROAD – DYL – (1) On its south side at its junction with Dunkirk Cose for a distance of 16 metres in a westerly direction. (2) On its south side at its junction with Dunkirk Close for a distance of 25 metres in an easterly direction.

(AMENDMENT No.6) ORDER 2026

Notice is given that KENT COUNTY COUNCIL under sections under Sections 81, 82, 84 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Paragraph 20 of Schedule 9 to the Act hereby propose to make the above named Order:

The effect of the Order will be to introduce a 20mph speed limit on the following length of road in Otford, Sevenoaks:

BERWICK WAY, CRAMPTON’S ROAD, LAURIE CLOSE, OTFORD ROAD, SWANZY ROAD and THE MOOR ROAD – For their entire length.,

NOTICE is hereby given that KENT COUNTY COUNCIL, in exercise of its powers under Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), intends to upgrade the existing pedestrian crossing points as described in column 1 of Schedule 1 hereto, at the location as described in column 2 of the said Schedule.

(AMENDMENT No.1) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that the Kent County Council hereby proposes to make an Order under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’), the Traffic Management Act 2004, and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act.

The effect of the Order is to introduce double yellow lines (DYL) and School Keep Clear markings on the following lengths of roads in Swale:-

ALL SAINTS ROAD, SITTINGBOURNE – DYL - (1) On its west side from its junction with Tonge Road for a distance of 47.5 metres in a southerly direction. (2) On its east side from its junction with Tonge Road for a distance of 56 metres in a southerly direction. BREWERY ROAD, MILTON REGIS – SCHOOL KEEP CLEAR – On its north side place school keep clear markings Monday to Friday 8.30am -9.30am and 2.30pm-5pm next to the current school markings for a distance of 43.5 metres in a westerly direction. CHURCH HILL, HERNHILL – DYL - On its south east side from its junction with Crockham Lane for a distance of 10 metres in a southerly direction. COLONELS LANE, BOUGHTON UNDER BLEAN – DYL - (1) On its east side from the southern boundary of 3 Grove Court Farm for a distance of 60 metres in a southern direction. (2) On its west side from its junction with Chestnut Court for a distance of 23 metres in a northerly direction (3) On its west side from its junction with Chestnut Court for a distance of 35 metres in an east southerly direction. CROCKHAM LANE, HERNHILL - DYL - On its south side from its junction with Church Hill for a distance of 10 metres in an easterly direction. POWER STATION ROAD, MINSTER ON SEA – DYL - (1) On its north side from its roundabout with Halfway Road for a distance of 23.2 metres in an easterly direction. (2) On its south side from its roundabout with Halfway Road for a distance of 25 metres in an easterly direction. TONGE ROAD, SITTINGBOURNE – DYL - On both sides form its junction with All Saints Road a distance of 10 metres in a westerly and 10 metres in as easterly direction.
