What is happening?

DUDLEY METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14(1)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council intends to make the following Order,
Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council (Temporary Closure of Embankment, Brierley Hill) Order 2026 the effect of which is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding on Embankment, Brierley Hill, for the purpose of sheet piling works being carried out on or near the affected road. The order will come into operation on 10.08.2026 and will remain in force until 19.10.2026 or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier. The maximum duration of the order is 18 months. The restrictions will be in place from 22:00 until 05:00 each night. The Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council (Temporary One-Way Restriction) (Embankment, Brierley Hill) Order 2025 will remain in force for the duration of this restriction. Traffic will be diverted via: Level Street, Central Way, and vice versa.
Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council (Temporary Closure of Bromley, Pesnsnett) Order 2026 the effect of which is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding on Bromley, Pensnett, for the purpose of gas mains replacement being carried out on or near the affected road. The order will come into operation on 10.08.2026 and will remain in force until 31.08.2026 or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier. The maximum duration of the order is 18 months. Traffic will be diverted via: Commonside, Bryce Road, and Bromley.
Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council (Temporary Closure of Blewitt Street, Pensnett) Order 2026 the effect of which is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding on Blewitt Street, Pensnett, for the purpose of gas main replacements being carried out on or near the affected road. The order will come into operation on 10.08.2026 and will remain in force until 31.08.2026 or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier. The maximum duration of the order is 18 months. Traffic will be diverted via: Commonside, Queen Street, Blewitt Street, and vice versa.
Access to frontages and for emergency vehicles will be maintained where safe to do so.
