(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) (TEMPORARY ONE-WAY REVOCATION) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council intend to make an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this notice.
1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle to proceed over that length of Leyland Lane, Leyland from its junction with Dunkirk Lane, Leyland for a distance of 85 metres in a southerly direction.
2. To temporarily revoke the one-way prohibition on Leyland Lane, Leyland from its junction with B5248 Slater Lane, Leyland for a distance of 142 metres in a northerly direction.
3. Nothing in this order shall apply to persons engaged in the carrying out of the works.
4. The prohibition will be operative from 0800 hours on Monday 27th July 2026 until 1700 hours on Friday 31st July 2026 or until completion of the works within this period.
5. Vehicular access for residents will be maintained whenever and wherever possible. Pedestrian access to properties will always be maintained.
6. An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the closure is via:-
Leyland Lane –B5248 Slater Lane – Slater Lane - B5253 Schleswig Way - B5248 Dunkirk Lane – Dunkirk Lane and Vice Versa.
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow culvert repair, and reinstatement works to be carried out.
