1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Brent propose to make the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

2. The general effect of the Orders would be to:

   (a) replace the ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions and loading restrictions on Fifth Way, the north side, from 16.5 metres east of Fulton Road to 41.5 metres east of Fifth Way, with a ‘goods vehicles loading only’ place operating ‘at any time’.

   (b) replace the ‘goods vehicles loading only’ place operating ‘at any time’ on Fulton Road, the east side, from 29 metres north of Fifth Way to 54 north of Fulton Road, with a ‘loading only’ place operating ‘at any time’.

3. The Council has also approved proposals to permanently retain a road hump, also known as a ‘raised table’, and a set of speed cushions under section 90 A-F of the Highways Act 1980 on Fulton Road and Fifth Way respectively. The raised table would be located on Fulton Road at the bend in the road north of Fifth Way. The speed cushions would be located on Fifth Way 25 metres east of its junction with Fulton Road. These would be constructed to cover the full width of the carriageway and would be no higher than 75 millimetres at the highest point with 1:20 gradient ramps.
4. Copies of the proposed Orders, of the relevant Order of 1979 (and of the Orders which have amended this Order), and the Brent (Goods Vehicles) (Free Loading Places) (No.87) Order 2015, of the Council’s statement of reasons for proposing to make the Orders and of maps which indicate each length of road to which the Orders relate can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of a period of 6 weeks from the date on which the Orders are made or the Council decides not to make the Orders at Brent Customer Services, Brent Civic Centre, Engineers Way, Wembley HA9 0FJ.

6. Persons desiring to make representations or to object to any of the proposed Orders, or to any of the proposals, send a statement in writing of their representations or objections, and the grounds thereof, via email to trafficorders@brent.gov.uk, or in writing to the Head of Healthy Streets and Parking, Healthy Streets and Parking Service, 6th Floor West Wing, Brent Civic Centre, Engineers Way, Wembley HA9 0FJ, quoting the reference TO/25/156, to arrive no later than 21 days from the date of publication of this notice.
