TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):
ORDER NO. MCC 151539235 : The City of Manchester (Queens Road, Harpurhey Ward)(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2026 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Queens Road. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Oldham Road, Broadway, Hollinwood Avenue, Victoria Avenue East, Rochdale Road and vice versa. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate micro asphalting. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 6th August 2026 to 13th August 2026, as and when traffic management is deployed. The order shall come into operation on 6th August 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.

The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Plymouth Grove and Hyde Grove. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Upper Brook Street, Anson Road, Dickenson Road and Stockport Road. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate micro asphalting. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 7th August 2026 to 14th August 2026 as and when traffic management is deployed. The order shall come into operation on 7th August 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months.
