What is happening?

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 - Temporary Closing Of Footpath Aston 031
NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council intend to make an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit pedestrians from using that length of Footpath Aston 031, between Bennington Road and Brookfield, for an approximate distance of 80m.
Alternative Route: no suitable alternative on PRoW network.

The purpose of the Order is to enable resurfacing works to take place.
The section of Footpath Aston 031 will be closed on or after 10 August 2026 for up to 3 days, when signs are in place.

(Temporary Closing Of The Cycle Track Situated On The East Side Of A602 Monkswood Way, Stevenage) Order 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedal cycles from using the cycle track situated on the east side of A602 Monkswood Way, Stevenage from a point 13m north west of its junction with Elder Way north westwards for a distance of approximately 50m ("the Cycle Track").
Pedal Cyclists will need to dismount and use the adjacent footpath.

The Order is needed because the installation of a new antenna is proposed to be executed near the Cycle Track.
The Order will come into effect from 7 August 2026 and will be valid for a period of 6 months. The works are scheduled to take 1 day to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Cycle Track.

(Temporary Closing Of Salusbury Lane, Offley) Order 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Salusbury Lane, Offley from its junction with Luton Whitehill south eastwards to its junction with Lawns Close, a distance of approximately 176m ("the Road").
An alternative route will be via: Luton Whitehill, Luton Road, High Street, Kings Walden Road and Salusbury Lane.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order will come into effect from 10 August 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 1 day to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(Temporary Closing Of St Katherines Close, Ickleford) Order 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of St Katherines Close, Ickleford from a point 118m south west of its junction with Greenfield Avenue south westwards and south eastwards for its entire length ("the Road"), except for access.
There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because utility connection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order will come into effect from 7 August 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 16 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the service road fronting Nos.193-251 Cambridge Road, Hitchin from its junction with A505 Cambridge Road north westwards and north eastwards to its junction with Millard Way, a distance of approximately 168m ("the Road"), except for access.
An alternative route will be via: A505 Cambridge Road and Millard Way.

The Order is needed because the replacement of an existing gas main is proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order will come into effect from 27 July 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 26 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(Temporary Closing And Waiting Restrictions On Stotfold Road, Radwell) Order 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Stotfold Road, Radwell from its junction with Caldecote and Newnham Public Footpath No.004 south westwards for a distance of approximately 945m ("the Road").
An alternative route will be via: Stotfold Road, Caldecote Road, Ashwell Road, Newnham Way, Hinxworth Road, Ashwell Road, New Inn Road and A1 (unnamed road) or via A1 (unnamed road), A507 Great North Road, Newnham Road, Caldecote Road and Stotfold Road.

Additionally, All vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of Road, whilst works are in progress.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order will come into effect from 28 July 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 4 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Letchworth Lane, Letchworth Garden City from its junction with St Marys Close north westwards for a distance of approximately 100m ("the Road"), except for access.
An alternative route will be via: Letchworth Lane, Willian Road, Baldock Lane, A505 (Letchworth Gate/Baldock Road) and Letchworth Lane.

The Order is needed because the replacement of an existing telegraph pole is proposed to be executed near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Benington Road, Aston from its junction with Aston End Road north eastwards to its junction with Stringers Lane, a distance of approximately 178m ("the Road"), except for access.
An alternative route will be via: Broadwater Lane, Gresley Way, B1037 Stevenage Road, High Street, Benington Road, Walkern Road and Benington Road.

The Order is needed because duct laying works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order will come into effect from 24 July 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 4 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
