(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Halstead Road, Foxearth in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 680m north west of its junction with Foxearth Road for a distance of approximately 215m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 11th August 2026 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411002WGQMRT8Y – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via Halstead Road, Borley Road, B1064, High Street, A1092, Pentlow Lane, Pentlow Street, Pentlow Hill, Halstead Road, The Street, Mill Road, School Street, Halstead Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 23rd July 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation
Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Colne Road, Bures Hamlet in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 645m south west, south east, south west, south east then south west of its junction with Ravensfield Farm Road for a distance of approximately 130m in a south westerly then southerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 31st July 2026 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411003WGRLR59M – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via Colne Road, Parsonage Hill, Lamarsh Hill, Springett’s Hill, Bell Hill, Bures Road, Henny Road, Lamarsh Hill, Lamarsh Road, Henny Street, Lower Road, Middleton Road, A131, Pebmarsh Road, Byndes Corner, Levitts Corner, Clay Hills, The Street, Hill House Road, Cricks Road, Lawshall’s Hill, Colne Park Road, A1124, Bures Road and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 9th July 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
