Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make an Order to close temporarily to all traffic:
A) Polebarn Road (Part), Trowbridge; from its property known as No.16 Polebarn Road to its junction with McDonogh Court to enable Valletta Surfacing Limited to carry out permanent reinstatement of the wearing course. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 16 August 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00 for 1 day. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:
B) Smallbrook Road (Part), Warminster; from its junction with Beckford Close to its junction with Chain Lane to enable Wales & West Utilities Ltd to carry out gas main replacement and associated works. Alternative route via Gipsy Lane – Plants Green – B3414 – Smallbrook Lane (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 27 July 2026 and the closure will be required 24 hours a day until 21 August 2026. C) West Ashton Road (Part), Trowbridge; from its junction with Broadcloth Lane East to its junction with B3105 to enable UK Power Solutions to carry out electrical and gas connections with associated works. Alternative route via B3105 – A361 – West Ashton Road (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 27 July 2026 and the closure will be required until 11 September 2026. D) Jones Hill (Part), Bradford on Avon and Westwood; from its junction with Southleigh to its junction with Lye Green.
E) Lye Green, Westwood; from its junction with Jones Hill to its junction with C222.
F) C222 (Part), Westwood; from its junction with Lye Green to its junction with C217 to enable Openreach to carry out overhead cabling and associated works. Alternative route D/E via Jones Hill (unaffected length) – B3109 – C216 – C217 – C222 and vice versa. Alternative route F via C222 (unaffected length) – C217 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 27 July 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 5 days. G) B3107 (Part), Holt; from its junction with Little Parks to its junction with Station Road to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out drainage and associated works. This Order will come into operation on 27 July 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 5 days. Orders A) to G) will have a maximum duration of 18 months, Order D) has a maximum duration of 18 months. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

Phase 3: Mortimer Street (Part) Southbound Carriageway, Trowbridge; from its junction with New Road to its junction with A363 to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out highway improvement and associated maintenance works.
Alternative route A via Mortimer Street (unaffected length) – Frome Road – A361.
Alternative route B via Mortimer Street (unaffected length) – Frome Road – A361 – A363.
Alternative route C via Mortimer Street (unaffected length) – A361 – Frome Road – Mortimer Street (unaffected length).
The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs.

It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Alternative route via footway – Stallard Street – Town Bridge – Wicker Hill and vice versa.
The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs.
This Order will come into operation on 27 July 2026 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required between the hours of 08:30 and 17:00 for 5 days.
Access will be maintained where possible although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.
The Order will have a maximum duration of 6 months.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
THE COUNTY OF WILTSHIRE (VARIOUS ROADS, EASTBOURNE ROAD AREA, TROWBRIDGE) (20MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2026
Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council proposes to make the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to introduce a 20mph speed limit on the following lengths of road:
Alma Street, Ashton Street (including spur road), Berkeley Road, Eastbourne Road, Eastbourne Gardens, Furlong Gardens, Harford Street and Larkspur – the complete lengths;
Lark Down – from a point 34 metres north of its junction with Barn Glebe for a distance of 23 metres where the road becomes Larkspur.
Copies of the draft Order, plan and Statement of the Council’s Reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected at the offices of Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge during normal office hours.
Details of the proposed scheme may be seen at Trowbridge Library, County Hall, Trowbridge between the hours of 9am-7pm Monday, Thursday and Friday and 9am-5pm Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday until 24 August 2026.
