(Wickhambrook Footpath 1(part))​ Public Path Diversion Order 2026

The above order, made on 9 July 2026 under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980, will divert the entire width of that part of Wickhambrook Footpath 1 at Toad Hall Barn, Peacocks Farm, Farley Green commencing at Ordnance Survey grid reference (OSGR) TL73445374 and proceeding in a north north easterly direction for approximately 176 metres to OSGR TL73515391 to a line running from OSGR TL73445374 in an east south easterly direction between two rows of paddock fencing for approximately 29 metres to OSGR TL73475373 then in a north easterly direction between paddock fencing and a boundary hedge for approximately 189 metres to OSGR TL73585388 then in a west north westerly direction between paddock fencing and a boundary hedge for approximately 75 metres to join the existing route at OSGR TL73515391 as shown on the order map.

A copy of the order and the order map and an explanatory statement have been placed and may be seen free of charge at Bury St Edmunds Library, Sergeants Walk, St Andrews Street North, Bury St Edmunds, IP33 1TZ between the hours of 8.30am and 5.30pm Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, 8.30am and 7.30pm Tuesday and Friday, 8.30am and 5pm Saturday and 10am and 4pm Sunday. A copy of the order and the order map and an explanatory statement may be obtained by post or email free of charge by contacting the council’s representative, Sharon Berry, via email at public.realm@baberghmidsuffolk.gov.uk or telephone 01449 724634. They can also be viewed at https://www.westsuffolk.gov.uk/parking/Travel/public-rights-of-way.cfm

Any representations about or objections to the order may be sent in writing to Mrs T Halliday, Head of Service (Governance), at West Suffolk House, Western Way, Bury St Edmunds, IP33 3YU not later than 14 August 2026. Please state the grounds on which they are made. Please note that any such correspondence cannot be treated as confidential and may be inspected by any interested party. For further information please refer to West Suffolk Council’s Privacy Notice which can be viewed which can be viewed at https://www.westsuffolk.gov.uk/privacy/

If no representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, West Suffolk Council may confirm the order as an unopposed order. If the order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the order.
