THE KINGSTON UPON HULL CITY COUNCIL

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

BISHOP LANE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an Order.
The effect of the Order is to prohibit any person with a vehicle from proceeding along Bishop Lane, outside numbers 24 and 25, Kingston upon Hull.
The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during essential roof repair and maintenance works to 24–25 Bishop Lane, including the erection, use and removal of scaffolding.
The alternative route for vehicles will be signed.
Access will be maintained for emergency services.
The Order will come into effect on 10th August 2026 and may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed between 0:00 on 10th August 2026 and 23:59 on 7th September 2026.

MEADOWBANK ROAD
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an Order.
The effect of the Order is to prohibit any person with a vehicle from proceeding along from 09:30 on 10th August 2026 to 15:30 on 7th September 2026, Kingston upon Hull.
The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during the installation of a new traffic island which will accommodate the new 20mph Traffic Regulation Order which is yet to be implemented but also provide a new traffic island which will reduce the crossing distance for pedestrians between each of the footways. To allow for the installation of the new island, some concrete carriageway reconstruction will be required.
The alternative route for vehicles to be signed.
Access will be maintained for emergency services.
The Order will come into effect from 10th August 2026 to 7th September 2026 and may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed in a period of approximately from 09:30 on 10th August 2026 to 15:30 on 7th September 2026.

ACORN GROVE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of S.14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an Order.
The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person with a vehicle from proceeding along: -
Acorn Grove, outside number 33, Kingston upon Hull.
The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during new electrical works.
The alternative route for vehicles will be signed.
The Order will take effect on 19th August 2026 and may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed between 8am and 6pm on 19th August 2026 to 26th August 2026.

CHANTERLANDS AVENUE
(PROHIBITION OF WAITING REVOCATION) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 1, 2(1) to (3), 4(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and in pursuance of powers granted by the Secretary of State under Section 74 and Part 2 of Schedule 8 and under Paragraph 8 of Schedule 9 of the Traffic Management Act 2004.
The effect of the Order will be to revoke the Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) for Chanterlands Avenue for the No Waiting Restriction with timings 8am to 9.30am, Monday to Friday shown as a Single Yellow Line.
The purpose of the Order is to increase parking availability for residents while removing the need for them to move their vehicles between the restriction times.
A copy of the draft Order, the relevant plan and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order are available for inspection during normal office hours at the General Reception Area, The Kingston upon Hull City Council, The Guildhall, Kingston upon Hull, HU1 2AA.
