Bearwood Cross Road - Temporary Road Closure Due To Rolling Ducting Works

Notice of Intention

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order: C1082 - Gorsty Corner To Bearwood Cross Road - Bearwood, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the C1082 - Gorsty Corner To Bearwood Cross Road - Bearwood, west of the junction with the C1081 for approx 170mtrs. Grid Ref: 337250/255836.

The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via the C1082 onto the A44 onto the C1081 and vice versa.

The said closure is required due to rolling ducting works and the likelihood of danger to the public whilst the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 17th of August 2026 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 12 days.
