Brent - Temporary Road Closure & Traffic Restrictions Due To Sewer Works
What is happening?
THE LONDON BOROUGH OF BRENT
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 - Section 14(1) (As Amended) - Mitchell Way And Pitfield Way (Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic) Order 202*
The Council of The London Borough of Brent hereby give notice that, to facilitate essential trenchless lining installation and repairs to existing sewer and associated works in the Mitchell Way and Pitfield Way, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to prohibit vehicles:-
(a) from entering, proceeding, waiting, loading or unloading in those lengths of:-
(a) Mitchell Way, which lies between north-eastern kerb-line of Pitfield Way and a point 8.00 metres north-east of that kerb-line;
(b) Pitfield Way, the north-eastern lane proceeding in a south-easterly direction, which lies between a point opposite the south-eastern building wall of No. 30 Pitfield Way and a point opposite the common boundary of Nos. 8 and 10 Pitfield Way;
(b) proceeding in a general south-easterly direction on Pitfield Way upon reaching its junction with Mitchell Way from turning left into Mitchell Way,
when and where appropriate traffic signs are being displayed.
The prohibitions referred to in (a) and (b) above would apply between 9th August 2026 and 10th August 2026 inclusive, or until the said works are completed, whichever is the earlier only. Works are expected to take place between the hours of 8:00am on Sunday and 8:00am on Monday.
Access to premises in or adjacent to Mitchell Way and Pitfield Way would be maintained insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.
Vehicular traffic affected by the prohibitions and suspension referred to in (a) and (b) above should proceed as indicated by traffic signs.
