Temporary Traffic Management Order Of A37, Frampton

DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 17 August 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months, however, it is anticipated the works will be complete by 26 August 2026.

This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing works.

The effect of the Order is as follows:

[1] To impose a temporary road closure on A37, FRAMPTON from a point approximately 700 metres south of Norden Lane for a distance of approximately 5345 metres.

[2] To impose a parking suspension as indicated by signs on site to prevent parking on the highway along A37, FRAMPTON from a point approximately 700 metres south of Norden Lane for a distance of approximately 5345 metres.

[3] To impose a clearway as indicated by signs on site to prevent parking on the highway along A37, FRAMPTON from a point approximately 700 metres south of Norden Lane for a distance of approximately 5345 metres.

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by this Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986. A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.

Temporary Closure Of East Street, Sydling St Nicholas

DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles cyclists and horse riders will be prohibited from proceeding along EAST STREET, SYDLING ST NICHOLAS in its entirety. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 10 August 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated the works will be completed by 04 September 2026.

This Order will enable Wessex Water to carry out sewer renovation works to stop infiltration.

On this occasion there will be no specified alternative route for diverted traffic.

Temporary Closure Of Radipole Lane, Weymouth

DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along RADIPOLE LANE, WEYMOUTH from its junction with Mount Pleasant Avenue North for a distance to the south of approximately 285 metres. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 27 July 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated the works will be completed by 21 August 2026.

This Order will enable Scotia Gas Networks, safe access to upgrade gas main.

An alternative route will be signed using: Radipole Lane - B3159 - A354 - B3157 - Radipole Lane

The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 27 July 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 17 August 2026.

This Order will enable Colas on behalf of Dorset Council to carry out essential highway maintenance works.

The effect of this Order will be:

[1] To impose temporary road closure on Broadmead cul-de-sac section for its entirety.

[2] To impose temporary road closure on Rectory Road for its entirety.

[3] To impose temporary road closure on Woodlands for its entirety.

[4] To impose temporary road closure on Osmington Drove between A352 and High Trees.

[5] To impose temporary road closure on Bakers Paddock for its entirety.

[6] To impose temporary clearway on Broadmead cul-de-sac section for its entirety.

[6] To impose temporary clearway on Broadmead cul-de-sac section for its entirety to prevent vehicles from stopping.

[7] To impose temporary clearway on Rectory Road for its entirety to prevent vehicles from stopping.

Temporary Closure Of Public Footpath 19, Portland

DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All pedestrians, horse riders and cyclists will be prohibited from proceeding along Public Footpath 19 from grid reference SY 698 712 to grid reference SY 697 710, for a distance of approximately 185 metres. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users.

It will come into operation on 24 July 2026 for a period of 26 weeks and can be extended with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport, if necessary.

This Order is required for health and safety reasons due to increased frequency of rock falls in the area.

An alternative route will be put in place to avoid the closed section of footpath.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of Dorset proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.

The effect of the Order will be to extend the 30mph speed limit on A350 Bournemouth Road on the north western side of Charlton Marshall in order to incorporate the junction of the newer housing development.
