Herefordshire - Definitive Map Modi#fication Order

Section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, Definitive Map and Statement for the County of Herefordshire, Herefordshire Council
(Addition of Bridleway WS4 Westhide, Bridleway YK20 Yarkhill and Bridleway WS5 Westhide) Modification Order 2026
The above Order made on 9th June 2026, if confirmed as made, will modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by adding to them bridleways as follows:
Bridleway WS4 Westhide – running from OS Grid Reference SO 6043 4397 to OS Grid Reference SO 6031 4413.
Bridleway YK20 Yarkhill – running from OS Grid Reference SO 6031 4413 to OS Grid Reference 6011 4444.
Bridleway WS5 Westhide – running from OS Grid Reference SO 6011 4444 to OS Grid Reference SO 5871 4447.
(Addition of Bridleway MC46 Much Cowarne, Bridleway OP15 Ocle Pychard, Bridleway YK21 Yarkhill and Bridleway WS6 Westhide) Modification Order 2026
The above Order made on 9th June 2026, if confirmed as made, will modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by adding to them bridleways as follows:
Bridleway MC46 Much Cowarne – running from OS Grid Reference SO 5974 4560 to OS Grid Reference SO 5972 4541.
Bridleway OP15 Ocle Pychard – running from OS Grid Reference SO 5972 4541 to OS Grid Reference SO 5965 4489.
Bridleway YK21 Yarkhill – running from OS Grid Reference SO 5695 4489 to OS Grid Reference SO 5959 4480.
Bridleway WS6 Westhide – running from OS Grid Reference SO 5959 4480 to OS Grid reference SO 5956 4463.
(Addition of Restricted Byway MC47 Much Cowarne and Restricted Byway OP16 Ocle Pychard) Modification Order 2026
The above Order made on 9th June 2026, if confirmed as made, will modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by adding to them Restricted Byways as follows:
Restricted Byway MC47 Much Cowarne – running from OS Grid Reference SO 5986 4604 to OS Grid Reference SO 5975 4560.
Restricted Byway OP16 Ocle Pychard – running from OS Grid Reference SO 5975 4560 to OS Grid Reference SO 5937 4543.
Copies of the Orders, Plans and Explanatory Statement may be seen free of charge at Blueschool House, Blueschool Street Hereford, HR1 2AN, during normal opening hours. Copies may be provided on payment of the photocopying charges of Herefordshire Council (“the Council”). Copies are also available on the Council’s website at www.herefordshire.gov.uk.

Representations or objections to the Orders must be made in writing to Public Rights of Way Manager, Herefordshire Council, Plough Lane, Hereford, HR4 0LE, or by email to PROW@herefordshire.gov.uk, quoting reference PROW/M344, M345 or M346 and stating your reasons, to be received not later than 7th September 2026. Your details may be imparted to third parties.
If no representations or objections are duly made to the Orders, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Council, instead of submitting the Orders to the Secretary of State may itself confirm those Orders. If the Orders are submitted to the Secretary of State, Department of Environment Food and Rural Affairs, any representations or objections which have been duly made and not withdrawn will be sent with the Orders.
