Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council has made the above Order dated 27th July 2026 in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned length of road in Lostwithiel. This prohibition is necessary for gully upgrade works and it is expected that the closure will be from 10th August 2026 to 11th August 2026. The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 0730 and 1800, weekdays only. Road affected - Lanwithan Road, Lostwithiel between Lanwithian Close and Butts Park. This prohibition is necessary for detailed examination of railway bridge and it is expected that the closure will be from 15th August 2026 to 16th August 2026. Cornwall Council Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (RTRA 1984) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council is under the above Order dated 17th February 2026 continuing to prohibit the use by traffic over an area of highway being PROW Footpath 1 in the Parish of Sheviock between grid references SX 37392 55406 and SX 37803 55727. The Order which commenced on the 18th February 2026 and is currently in force for up to six months will now continue until the 28th July 2027. The continuance of this Order, which was to have expired on the 28th July 2026 has been approved by the Secretary of State for Transport. The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekends included. The Council is satisfied that this further restriction is necessary owing to engineering difficulties and the Order is needed because of the likelihood of danger to the public due to a defective and hazardous surface. Nothing in this Order will apply to traffic associated with the works required within the highway specified above, any vehicle being used for the purposes of an undertaker in an emergency, such as loss of utility supplies and anything done with the permission of or at the discretion of a police officer.
