Gloucestershire - Multiple Temporary Closures Due To Various Works
What is happening?
GLOUCESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY CLOSURE 401472 HILL ROAD (DURSLEY TOWN) STROUD DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 401472 Hill Road from outside of the property known as ‘No.29 Hill Road’ to outside of the property known as ‘No.4 Hill Road’ for a distance of approximately 600 metres.
The reason for the said closure is for works on behalf of Severn Trent Water.
The road is expected to be closed from 27th July 2026 to 28th July 2026. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner. TEMPORARY CLOSURE AND RESTRICTION OF VARIOUS ROADS
(COALEY PARISH) STROUD DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close and restrict part of the lengths of roads as detailed in the Schedule below.

The reason for the said closures and restrictions is for carriageway patching works.
There will be no stopping or waiting and no loading permitted throughout the duration of the said works.
The said roads are expected to be closed and restricted on a rolling programme commencing 24th July 2026 where the presence of approved signage will indicate whether the said closures and restrictions are in force. Further advance warnings of dates/times will be displayed on site prior to the said closures and restrictions taking effect. This Order may permit the said closures and restrictions in any order, or simultaneously as required. It is anticipated all works will be completed by 7th August 2026.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE C231 CLAPTON ROAD (BERKELEY TOWN) STROUD DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the C231 Clapton Road from outside the property known as 'Park Gate Cottage' to its junction with Ham to Pedington Elm for a distance of approximately 1215 metres.
The reason for the closure is for mains renewal works by Severn Trent Water.
The said road is expected to be closed from 07:30hrs on 10th August 2026 until 5:00hrs on 6th September 2026. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 401586 Box Road Avenue from outside the property known as ‘No. 2’ to outside of the property known as ‘No. 6’ for a distance of approximately 12 metres.
The reason for the closure is for repair works by Severn Trent Water.
The said road is expected to be closed from 12th August 2026 until 14th August 2026. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

The reason for the closure is for works by Severn Trent Water.
The said road is expected to be closed between 08:00hrs and 17:00hrs on 11th August 2026. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

The reason for the closure is for works to replace a telecommunication pole.
The said road is expected to be closed from 11th August 2026 until 13th August 2026. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.
