What is happening?

The North East Lincolnshire Borough Council
(Prohibition of Waiting Restrictions) (Various Streets) (No 25-01) Order 2026
Section 1 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Regulation 7 of the Local Authorities Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996 (SI 1996/2489)

Notice is hereby given that North East Lincolnshire Borough Council propose to make a Road Traffic Regulation Order under powers contained in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to:-

1. Introduce "24 Hour Prohibition of Waiting" restrictions at the following locations:

• Buller Street junction with Weelsby Street South, Grimsby (in part)

• Carr Lane junction with Cooper Road, Grimsby (in part)

• Conyers Avenue, Grimsby (in part)

• Douglas Road junction with Laurier Road, Cleethorpes (in part)

• Fairfield Road junction with Waltham Road, Grimsby (in part)

• Hardys Road junction with Daggett Road, Cleethorpes (in part)

• Little Michael Street junction with Marshall Avenue, Grimsby (in part)

• Rutland Street junction with Oxford Street, Grimsby (in part)

• Marshall Avenue, Grimsby (in part)

• West Street junction with Charles Street, Cleethorpes (in part)

• Westkirke Avenue, Grimsby (in part)

2. Extend the current "24 Hour Prohibition of Waiting" restrictions at the following locations:• Heneage Road (near Welholme Academy), Grimsby (in part)

• Victoria Street North, Grimsby (in part)The Order shall come into operation on the date that the Council publishes a notice stating that the Order has been made.

A copy of the proposed Traffic Regulation Order giving more detailed information including all Schedules, Plans and the Council's Statement of Reasons for introducing the Order are available via North East Lincolnshire Council's Website by searching 'Advertised Traffic Regulation Orders'. Electronic copies can also be viewed on request at the Municipal Offices, Town Hall Square, Grimsby, during normal office hours.

Any objections and representations relating to the proposed Order must be made in writing and must be made to Carolina Borgstrom at the address below or electronically by using the 'Traffic Regulation Order Consultation Form'.

All objections must include the grounds under which they are being made and include the reference 25-01 and be submitted by 14th August 2026.
