What is happening?

TRAFFIC ORDER

On 20/07/2026, Angus Council made The Angus Council (Collier Street, Carnoustie) (Temporary Prohibition of Driving and Waiting) Order 2026, under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, so that Scottish Gas service alteration works may be undertaken. The Order will come into force on Tuesday, 28 July 2026, from which date it is anticipated that the work will last for a period of 14 days. However, the maximum permitted duration in terms of the Act is 18 months. The Order prohibits all vehicular traffic from driving and waiting in or on Collier Street, Carnoustie from its junction with Terrace Road eastwards for a distance of 75 metres or thereby. Access for pedestrians, emergency vehicles and vehicular access to properties will be maintained. The alternative route for vehicular traffic is via Terrace Road and Queen Street.
