Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

TUNBRIDGE WELLS AREA

B2079 Winchet Hill, Goudhurst, TN17 1JY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow two telegraph pole replacement and associated cable rehanging works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2079 Winchet Hill, Goudhurst, on or after 10th August 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed approximately 25 metres and 80 metres North of Hunny Lodge. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2079 Winchet Hill, B2079 Summerhill, B2079 North Road, B2084 Chequers Road, A262 Cranbrook Road, A262 Goudhurst Road, A229 Wilsley Pound, A229 The Common, A229 Camden Hill, A229 Rocks Hill, A229 Knoxbridge, A229 Cranbrook Road, A229 High Street, Marden Road, Battle Lane, Howland Road, B2079 High Street, B2079 Church Green, B2079 West End, B2079 Goudhurst Road and vice versa.



Bodiam Road, Sandhurst (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow telegraph pole replacement and associated cable rehanging works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bodiam Road, Sandhurst, on or after 31st July 2026 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed approximately 165 metres Southeast from The Millhouse. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Bodiam Road, A268 Queen Street, A268 Megrims Hill, A268 Rye Road, A229 Highgate Hill, A229 Moor Hill, A229 The Moor, B2244 Hastings Road, B2244 Hawkhurst Road, Castle Road, Peters Green Road and vice versa.

To allow water asset works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bodiam Road, Sandhurst, on or after 10th August 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of property named Little Bourne. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Bodiam Road, A268 Queen Street, A268 Megrims Hill, A268 Rye Road, A229 Highgate Hill, A229 Moor Hill, A229 The Moor, B2244 Hastings Road, B2244 Hawkhurst Road, Castle Road, Peters Green Road, Bodiam Road and vice versa.



Colbran Way, Rusthall, TN3 0YA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow crane access to replace one telegraph pole in private, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Colbran Way, Rusthall, on or after 29th July 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from outside property number 8 to outside property number 10. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route for any through traffic. Access will be maintained where it is safe to do so.



Common Road, Sissinghurst, TN17 2AQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow highway improvement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Common Road, Sissinghurst, on or after 10th August 2026 for up to 11 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from its split with A229 The Common to the crossroads with Frittenden Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Common Road, A229 The Common, A229 Wilsley Pound, A262 Sissinghurst Road, A262 The Street, Common Road and vice versa.



Culverden Street, Royal Tunbridge Wells, TN1 1ET (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow water pipe works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Culverden Street, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 11th August 2026 for up to 2 nights or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of the junction with A26 Mount Ephraim, between the hours of 19:00 and 07:00 weekdays only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Culverden Street, A26 Mount Ephraim, A263 Grosvenor Road and vice versa.



Groombridge Road, Groombridge, TN3 9PS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow telegraph pole replacement and associated cable rehanging works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Groombridge Road, Groombridge, on or after 12th August 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Quarry House. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Groombridge Road, A264 Ashurst Road, B2110 Groombridge Hill, Bird In Hand Street, Groombridge Road and vice versa.



Henwood Green Road, Pembury, TN2 4HJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow gas service disconnection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Henwood Green Road, Pembury, on or after 13th August 2026 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of property number 64. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative routes for any through traffic are via:

Diversion 1 - Henwood Green Road, Hastings Road, High Street, Lower Green Road, Romford Road & Henwood Green Road.

Diversion 2 - Henwood Green Road, Romford Road, Lower Green Road, Hastings Road, Henwood Green Road.



Jarvis Lane, Curtisden Green, TN17 1LN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow telegraph pole replacement and associated cable rehanging works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Jarvis Lane, Curtisden Green, on or after 10th August 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of property named Meadow View. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Jarvis Lane, Horden Road, Combourne Lane, Jarvis Lane and vice versa.



Langton Road, Speldhurst, TN3 0NP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow telegraph pole replacement and associated cable rehanging works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Langton Road, Speldhurst, on or after 31st July 2026 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Speldhurst Primary School. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Speldhurst Hill, Etherington Hill, Speldhurst Road, A26 St Johns Road, A26 Mount Ephraim, A264 Bishops Down, A264 Langton Road, The Green, Speldhurst Road, Langton Road and vice versa.



Sandhurst Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells, TN4 9HA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow bridge examination works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Sandhurst Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 28th July 2026 for up to 1 night or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed 20 metres either side of railway bridge TTH/13, between the hours of 22:00 and 06:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Sandhurst Road, A264 Pembury Road, A264 Calverley Road, Camden Road, Quarry Road, Grosvenor Bridge, Upper Grosvenor Road and vice versa.



St Johns Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells (CYCLE LANE SUSPENSION) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow hydrant replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily suspend the cycle lane on part of St Johns Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 27th July 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The cycle lane will be suspended in the vicinity of The Army Reserve Centre, between the hours of 19:00 on 27th July 2026 and 07:00 on 29th July 2026 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.



Stockland Green Road, Speldhurst, TN3 0TY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow underground service cable installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Stockland Green Road, Speldhurst, on or after 29th July 2026 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of property number 1, weekdays only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Stockland Green Road, Etherington Hill, Speldhurst Road, Stockland Green Road and vice versa.



Vale Road, Southborough, TN4 0SA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow telegraph pole replacement and associated cable rehanging works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Vale Road, Southborough, on or after 31st July 2026 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of property number 1. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Holden Road, A26 London Road, Vale Road and vice versa.



Windmill Hill, Brenchley, TN12 7AA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow stopcock meter location works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Windmill Hill, Brenchley, on or after 10th August 2026 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Town Farm Shambles. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Windmill Hill, Blind Lane, High Street and vice versa.



Woodside Road, Rusthall, TN4 8NU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow stopcock replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Woodside Road, Rusthall, on or after 10th August 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of property number 10. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Woodside Road, Apsley Street, Rusthall Road, Bretland Road, Grange Road, Woodside Road and vice versa.
