What is happening?

TRAFFIC ORDER

On 20/07/2026 the Council made The Angus Council (Monifieth Gala) (Temporary Traffic Restrictions) Order 2026, under section 16A of the Roads Traffic Regulation Act 1984, for the purposes of facilitating the holding of a relevant event, enabling members of the public to watch a relevant event, and reducing the disruption to traffic likely to be caused by a relevant event. The effect of the Order will be to (1) prohibit the waiting of traffic on the south side of South Street, Monifieth between its junctions with Marine Drive and South Union Street; and (2) impose a one-way system for vehicles less than 1.8m in height on Marine Drive, Riverview Drive and South Union Street, all between 12pm (midday) and 6pm on 26/07/2025. Access for pedestrian and emergency vehicles will be maintained. There is no alternative route. Full details of the Order are available at www.angus.gov.uk/trafficorders
