Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

DOVER AREA

A256 Buckland Avenue, Dover, CT17 0TG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A256 Buckland Avenue, Dover, on or after 10th August 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 16, between the hours of 20:00 and 05:00 only to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A256 Crabble Hill, A256 London Road, A256 Whitfield Hill, A2 Dover Road, A2 Between Whitfield Roundabout And Junction With A256, A2 Between Junction With A256 And Duke Of Yorks Roundabout, A258 Deal Road, A258 Castle Hill Road, A256 Maison Dieu Road, A256 Woolcomber Street, A20 Townwall Street, A256 York Street, A256 Priory Road, A256 High Street, A256 London Road and Cherry Tree Avenue.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



B2046 High Street, Wingham, CT3 1AJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2046 High Street, Wingham, on or after 11th August 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the junction of South Court Drive, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any Northbound through traffic is via A257 Canterbury Road, A257 Wingham Road, A257 High Street, A257 The Hill, A257 Canterbury Road, A257 Littlebourne Road, A257 St Martin’s Hill, A257 Longport, A257 Lower Chantry Lane, A2050 New Dover Road, A2050 Dover Road, A2 Dover Road Slip East On, A2 Dover Road, A2 Barham Slip Eastbound Off, A260 Box Iron Road, B2046 Box Iron Road and B2046 Adisham Road.

The alternative route for any Southbound through traffic is via B2046 Adisham Road, B2046 Box Iron Road, A260 Box Iron Road, A260 Old Dover Road, A2 Old Dover Road, A2 Dover Road, A2 Dover Road Slip West Off, A2050 Dover Road, A2050 New Dover Road, A257 Lower Chantry Lane, A257 Longport, A257 St Martin’s Hill, A257 Littlebourne Road, A257 Canterbury Road, A257 The Hill, A257 High Street, A257 Wingham Road and A257 Canterbury Road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Brewer Street, Deal, CT14 6TR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Brewer Street, Deal, on or after 12th August 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 2, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Brewer Street, Middle Street, Coppin Street, Beach Street and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Church Lane, Stourmouth, CT3 1HS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Church Lane, Stourmouth, on or after 13th August 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside New House Oast, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Church Street, Nonington, CT15 4LD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Church Street, Nonington, on or after 28th July 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 18, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Church Street, Butter Street, Holt Street, Vicarage Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Felderland Lane, Worth, CT13 0DQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Felderland Lane, Worth, on or after 30th July 2026 for up to 10 hours or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Nursery Cottage, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A256 Sandwich Road, A258 Deal Road, Felderland Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Freemens Way, Deal, CT14 9GD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Freemens Way, Deal, on or after 28th July 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 21, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Freemens Way, Mill Hill, Thornbridge Road, Telegraph Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Gore Lane, Eastry, CT13 0LE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Gore Lane, Eastry, on or after 12th August 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between Bankhurst and Boteler Cottages, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Gore Lane, Woodnesborough Lane, High Street, Mill Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Heronden Road, Eastry (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow gas works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Heronden Road, Eastry, on or after 11th August 2026 for up to 10 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside The Oast, Middle Heronden Farm, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Heronden Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Liverpool Road, Walmer, CT14 7QW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow gas works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Liverpool Road, Walmer, on or after 27th July 2026 for up to 12 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Meadowside, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Liverpool Road, St Clare Road, Grams Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Lower Street, Eastry, CT13 0HJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Lower Street, Eastry, on or after 10th August 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the bottom of the drive of Milton Cottage, between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Lower Street, Dover Road, A256 Whitfield By-pass From C237 Venson Road to Entry A256 Roundabout, A256 Eastry Bypass, Sandwich Road, High Street and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Lower Street, Tilmanstone, CT14 0JE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Lower Street, Tilmanstone, on or after 10th August 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed approximately 70m North of Chapel House Farm & Cottage, between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Lower Street, Chapel Road, Dover Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Middle Street, Deal, CT14 6TR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Middle Street, Deal, on or after 10th August 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Market Street and Chapel Street, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Market Street, Beach Street, Chapel Street, Middle Street and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Military Road, Dover, CT17 9BQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow highway improvement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Military Road, Dover, on or after 10th August 2026 for up to 8 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Cornwall House, between the hours of 07:30 and 16:30 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Military Road, Durham Hill, Lancaster Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Mill Lane, Northbourne, CT14 0LQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Mill Lane, Northbourne, on or after 12th August 2026 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the side of 11 Coulson Grove, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Mill Lane, C231 Un-named Road From Willow Woods Road To Junction Of Northbourne Lane And Mill Lane, Northbourne Lane, Willow Woods Road, Deal Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



St Marys Grove, Tilmanstone, CT14 0JT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of St Marys Grove, Tilmanstone, on or after 12th August 2026 for up to 10 hours or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Beech Tree Cottage, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via St Marys Grove, Upper Street, Chapel Road, Dover Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



St Peters Street, Sandwich, CT13 9EZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of St Peters Street, Sandwich, on or after 10th August 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 8 Market Street, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
