What is happening?

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
DARTFORD AREA
2260 Ebbsfleet Gateway, Dartford, DA10 1AR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of a new electrical supply scheme to multiple customer connection points, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit northbound traffic on part of A2260 Ebbsfleet Gateway, Dartford, on or after 27th July 2026 for up to 33 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed northbound only between A2260 Southfleet Road and International Way.
The alternative route is via A2260 Southfleet Road, A2260 south roundabout, A2260 Pepperhill Slip Road, B260 Hall Road, B262 Springhead Road, A226 Thames Way.
Mill Road, Hawley, DA2 7RP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of sewer cleaning works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Mill Road, Hawley, on or after 29th July 2026 for up to 1 day between 09:30hrs and 15:30hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between numbers 44 and property 1B.
The alternative route is via Mill Road, A225 Hawley Road, Shirehall Road, Ash Road and vice versa.
Oakfield Lane, Dartford, DA1 2JT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of the installation of new Gas, Electric and Water supplies for new development, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Oakfield Lane, Dartford, on or after 10th August 2026 for up to 19 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside North Kent College.
The alternative route is via Oakfield Lane, Heath Lane Upper, B2174 Princes Road, A225 Lowfield Street/Hawley Road and vice versa.
Raeburn Avenue, Dartford, DA1 3AW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of Thames Water Utilities works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Raeburn Avenue, Dartford, on or after 27th July 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 19.
The alternative route is via Raeburn Avenue, Swaisland Road, Morland Avenue, Wilmot Road and vice versa.
Red Street, Southfleet, DA13 9QJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of a sewer connection, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Red Street, Southfleet, on or after 27th July 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Ashleigh.
The alternative route is via New Barn Road, Red Street, B262 Station Road, Dale Road, Warren Road and vice versa.
Shirehall Road, Hawley, DA2 7RP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Shirehall Road, Hawley, on or after 28th July 2026 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 20.
The alternative route is via Shirehall Road, A225 Hawley Road, B258 Church Hill/High Road/Barn End Lane and vice versa.
