NOTICE is hereby given that Gloucestershire County Council intend to make a Variation Order under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 32, 35, 36 and 39 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Traffic Management Act 2004 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which would vary the Gloucestershire County Council On Street Parking Order 2017 (the 2017 Order) by introducing the proposed restrictions detailed in the Schedule below.

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close and restrict part of the C65 Oridge Street to prevent any stopping, loading or unloading from outside the property known as ‘Buck Farm’ to its junction with the A417 for a total distance of approximately 650 metres. The reason for this closure and restriction is for drainage works. There will be no waiting, stopping, or loading permitted throughout the duration of the said works.

The said road is expected to be closed and restricted from 10th August 2026 until 14th August 2026 only or until the works have been completed. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

SCHEDULE

The reason for the said closure is for level crossing maintenance works. The said road is expected to be closed at various times and dates from 8th August 2026 where the presence of approved signage will indicate whether they are in force. Further advance warnings of dates/times will be displayed on site prior to the said closures taking effect. This Order may permit the said closures in any order, or simultaneously as required. It is anticipated that all works will be completed by 6th September 2026, but the Order can continue until the said works have been completed for a maximum duration of 18 months.
