TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF
THE U5641 CHURCH STREET, OCCOLD
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U5641 Church Street, Occold from the B1077 to Cedars Close to facilitate water main replacements. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Church Street, The Street, Mill Road, Dublin Road, Bedingfield Road, the B1077 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 03/08/2026 - 27/08/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF
THE U1501 KEMP LANE, BECCLES
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U1501 Kemp Lane, Beccles from 20 metres east and 20 metres west of the level crossing to facilitate brickwork repairs to a parapet wall. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Darby Road, St Georges Road, London Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate on 03/08/2026 from 7am to 5pm. If necessary the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF
THE U5943 THE STREET AND ASHFIELD ROAD, NORTON
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads in the following phases:
- the U5943 The Street, Norton from the junction with Ixworth Road to the junction with Church Road
- the U5943 Ashfield Road, Norton from the junction with Church Road to Badger Cottage.
This is to facilitate the installation of a fibre network. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion routes will be:
- Woolpit Road, the A1088 from the district boundary to the A14, Church Road, New Road, The Street, Station Road, Ashfield Road, Norton Road and vice versa
- Ashfield Road, The Street, Woolpit Road, the A1088 from district boundary to the A14, Church Road, New Road, The Street, Station Road, Ashfield Road, Norton Road and vice versa
It is intended that the closures will operate from:
- 03/08/2026 - 17/08/2026
- 18/08/2026 - 08/09/2026.
If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

THE U5939 KILN LANE, STOWLANGTOFT
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U5939 Kiln Lane, Stowlangtoft from Hakewill House to the Water Tower to facilitate the installation of a fibre network. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Kiln Lane, The Street (Stowlangtoft), The Street (Hunston), Langham Road, Road to Properties Surround Hall Farm, Stock Hill, Stud Road, C645 from Walsham Road to Ixworth Road, Walsham Road, Kiln Lane and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 03/08/2026 - 11/08/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF
WAITING AND SUSPENSION OF PARKING BAYS OF
THE U2418 DEVONSHIRE ROAD AND
U2415 BACK HAMLET, IPSWICH
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order prohibiting waiting on the U2418 Devonshire Road, Ipswich to facilitate carriageway resurfacing. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
For the duration of this measure there will be a suspension of parking bays on the U2415 Back Hamlet, Ipswich westbound and Zone 1 only to be replaced by No Parking at any time. Exemptions will be made for blue badge holders only.
As these measures are required to permit essential works to the highway, any vehicles that remain in the area affected during the period of the restriction, may be removed in accordance with powers available to do so. SUFFOLK COASTAL) (MARLESFORD) (A12 MAIN ROAD)
(30MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 202-
Suffolk County Council proposes to make the above order for the District of Suffolk Coastal under Section 84 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which would be to introduce:
A 30-mph speed limit to:
- A12 Main Road - from a point 293 meters southwest of the junction with U2213 Marlesford Road then in an easterly direction for 1050 meters to a point 358 metres east of the junction with C241 Bell Lane.
Copies of the draft Order, map showing the roads affected and the Council’s reasons for the proposals, may be seen with advance notice at the address below, 9am - 5pm Monday - Friday; also at Wickham Market Library, Resource Centre, Chapel Lane, Wickham Market IP13 0SD from 9.30am - 5.30pm, Tuesday to Friday and 10am - 12.30pm then 1pm - 4.30pm on Saturdays.
Please note that this statutory consultation undertaken by the County Council supersedes all previous consultations undertaken by or on behalf of Sizewell C Limited or the County Council. Previous consultation responses will not be considered and representers are advised to respond to this consultation if they wish to ensure their views are taken into account.
