What is happening?

THE LEICESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicestershire County Council intends not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice to make the following Orders under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1984. The works will be completed within the period of the Orders and will commence when the appropriate signs are erected. The Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders are being enforced for public safety.

HIGH STREET, MELTON MOWBRAY

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING & LOADING AT ANY TIME

TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF PARKING BAYS ORDER 2026

It is expected that the Order will come into force on 30/08/2026 and have a maximum duration of 3 months. The works may last for up to 2 days to allow Severn Trent Water to undertake service apparatus repair works.

SCHEDULE 1

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING & LOADING AT ANY TIME

High St, Melton Mowbray from the footpath to the side of Leicester St up to the boundary of property No. 27a.

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC ORDER 2026

It is expected that the Order will come into force on 24/08/2026 and have a maximum duration of 3 months. The works may last for up to 5 days to allow Leicestershire County Council to undertake highway drainage maintenance work. The diversion will be via: East End, Waltham Ln & vice versa.

MAIN STREET, SHOBY

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC ORDER 2026

It is expected that the Order will come into force on 24/08/2026 and have a maximum duration of 3 months. The works may last for up to 3 months to allow Leicestershire County Council to undertake highway drainage repair works. The proposed diversion route will be via: A6006, Six Hills Ln, Broughton & Old Dalby; Perkins Ln, Main St, Shoby Ln, Grimston; Main St, Shoby & vice versa.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicestershire County Council has made the following Orders under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1984. TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC ORDER 2026

The Order will come into force on 04/08/2026 and have a maximum duration of 3 months. The works may last for up to 5 days to allow Callan Connect on behalf of City Fibre to undertake cable duct installation work. There is no diversion route available for this location.

The proposed diversion route will be via: Wartnaby Rd, From Six Hills Rd To Wartnaby Rd, Ab Kettleby; Six Hills Rd Wartnaby; Nottingham Rd, Ab Kettleby & vice versa.

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF LEFT & RIGHT TURNS ORDER 2026

The Order will come into force on 03/08/2026 and have a maximum duration of 3 months. The works may last for up to 2 days to allow Severn Trent Water to undertake ironwork defect repair works. The proposed diversion route will be via: Belvoir St, Thorpe Rd, Salisbury Ave & vice versa.
