Chester - Off-Street Parking Order Introducing One-Hour Maximum Stay
What is happening?
CHESHIRE WEST AND CHESTER BOROUGH COUNCIL TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER
Notice is hereby given that on the 23rd July 2026 Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council made the following Traffic Regulation Order in accordance with the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which will come into force on 17th August 2026.
THE CHESHIRE WEST AND CHESTER BOROUGH COUNCIL (OFF-STREET PARKING PLACES, CHESTER) (CHESHIRE ARCHIVES CAR PARK VARIATION) ORDER 2026
The effect of the Order will be to introduce a one-hour maximum stay (no return within one hour), Monday to Saturday 8am to 6pm. The Order will also enable the enforcement of disabled persons' marked bays, bays designated for a specific use or class of vehicle and vehicles parking beyond bay markings.
If you wish to question the validity of the Order, or to any provisions contained in it, on the grounds that any requirement of the Act or any instruments made under it have not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may within six weeks of 23rd July 2026 apply to the High Court for that purpose.
