WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL (SEDBERGH ROAD, KENDAL AND B6257, BECK FOOT) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable bridge examination works to be carried out (“the Works”), Westmorland and Furness Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that section of the;
Sedbergh Road, Kendal, from its junction with Broom Close, extending in a south easterly direction for a distance of approx. 240 metres.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of Sedbergh Road, Paddy Lane, Singleton Park Road (A684) and Castle Green Lane.
Duration: From 9th August 2026 for approx. 1 day (Ref: TTROW/I8538)
B6257, Beck Foot, from its junction with the U5294, extending in a northerly direction for a distance of approx. 300 metres.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the B6257, A685, A683 and the A684.
Duration: From 20th September 2026 for approx. 1 day (Ref: TTROW/I8737)

The Order will come into operation on 9th August 2026 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as detailed above, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
