What is happening?
WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL (A684 MAIN STREET, SEDBERGH AND U5624 NATLAND MILL BECK LANE, KENDAL) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out (“the Works”), Westmorland and Furness Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that section of the;
(i) A684 Main Street, Sedbergh, from its junction with Howgill Lane, extending in a westerly direction for a distance of approx. 80m.
Alternative Route: via Loftus Hill, Busk Lane and Station Road.
Duration: From 13th August 2026 for approx. 2 days (Ref: TTROW/19689)
(ii) U5624 Natland Mill Beck Lane, Kendal from its junction with Helme Lodge, extending in a south westerly direction for a distance of approx. 150m.
Alternative Route: via the A65 Burton Road, C5071 Natland Road and the unrestricted section of Natland Mill Beck Lane.
Duration: From 25th August 2026 for approx. 11 days (Ref: TTROW/18560)

The Order will come into operation on 13th August 2026 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as detailed above, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
