PART OF BRAITHWELL ROAD SERVICE ROAD EAST MALTBY ROTHERHAM

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Braithwell Road service road east from no.48 Braithwell Road to no.50 Braithwell Road from Tuesday 4th August until Monday 10th August 2026.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order will be via Braithwell Road and entrances to service road north and south of the works.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Repairs to electrical apparatus).

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Pingles Crescent from its junction with Garbroads Crescent to its junction with Royds Close on Monday 27th July 2026 between 8am and 6pm.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route will be via local diversions.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road.

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Steel Street across the rail crossing on Saturday 25th July 2026 between midnight and 5.30am.

NOTICE is further given that there is no alternative route for traffic affected by  the order.

Reason for the prohibition - because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (rail maintenance).

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Wellgate Mount from a point approximately 75m east of Wellgate to the end of the cul de sac on Sunday 2nd August 2026.

NOTICE is further given that there is no alternative route, the road is a cul de sac. Access will be maintained for residents.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Electric works).

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the four parts of road specified in the Schedule to this notice in phases for short periods of time between Monday 27th July and Monday 31st August 2026.

The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the roads (gas main renewals).

SCHEDULE

(i)    A618 Rotherham Road from its junction with Aughton Road to a point approximately 20m north of the northern kerb line of Park Street (the alternative route will be via High Street, Main Street and vice versa).

(ii)   Alexandra Road at is junction with A618 Aughton Road or Rotherham Road (the alternative route will be via local neighbouring streets).

(iii)   Nursery Road at is junction with A618 Aughton Road or Rotherham Road (there is no alternative route, the road is a cul de sac, access will be maintained for residents).

(iv)   School Street at is junction with A618 Aughton Road or Rotherham Road  (the alternative route will be via local neighbouring streets).

IVANHOE ROAD AND ANSTON AVENUE KIVETON PARK SHEFFIELD

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the two roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice from Saturday 1st August until Friday 2nd October 2026. The roads will not be closed at the same time.

The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the roads (Water main renewal).

SCHEDULE

(i)    Ivanhoe Road from its junction with Station Road to its junction with Anston Avenue (the alternative route will be via Anston Avenue)

(ii)   Anston Avenue from its junction with Station Road to its junction with Highfield Avenue (the alternative route will be via Ivanhoe Road)

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order will be via local diversions.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Installation of electricity main).

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route will be via Upper Wortley Road, Droppingwell Road, New Droppingwell Road, Grange Mill Lane and vice versa.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Telecom works).

NOTICE is further given that there is no alternative route, the road is a cul de sac. Limited access will be maintained for residents.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Electrical works).

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the two parts of road specified in the Schedule to this notice from Monday 3rd August until Friday 28th August 2026. NOTICE is further given that the alternative routes for vehicles affected are via:

(i)    High sided vehicles - B6067 Mill Lane, B6067 Station Road, B6067 Well Lane, B6067 Well Lane High Hazel Road Roundabout, B6067 High Hazel Road, B6067 Wood Lane, B6067 Treeton Lane, A618 Pleasley Road, A631 West Bawtry Road, A631 Rotherway Roundabout, A630 Rotherway, Rotherham Gateway M1 Roundabout, A630 Rotherham Gateway, B6533 Poplar Way, B6066 Orgreave Road, B6066 Main Street and vice versa.

(ii)   All other traffic - B6067 Mill Lane, B6067 Station Road, B6067 Well Lane, B6067 Well Lane High Hazel Road Roundabout, B6067 High Hazel Road, B6067 Wood Lane, B6067 Treeton Lane, A618 Pleasley Road, A631 West Bawtry Road, A631 Rotherway Roundabout, A631 West Bawtry Road, A631 Canklow Roundabout, A631 Bawtry Road, B6066 Whitehill Lane and vice versa.

The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the two parts of road (Installation of new sewer).

SCHEDULE

(i)    B6067 Lane from a point approximately 230m west of its junction with Arundel Street for a distance of 40m in a westerly direction.

(ii)   B6067 Treeton Lane from its junction with B6067 Mill Lane for a distance of approximately 30m in a north westerly direction.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order will be via local neighbouring streets.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Electrical works).

40 miles per hour speed limit restrictions Hague Lane, Wentworth, Rotherham

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council acting in its capacity as traffic authority for the Borough of Rotherham has made the above-mentioned Order on the 15th July 2026 which comes into effect on the 27th July 2026. Notice of the proposal for making the Order was published in the Rotherham Advertiser on the 23rd April 2026.

The effect of the order if implemented will be to amend the current ‘Derestricted Speed Limit’ restrictions affecting the part of Hague Lane, Wentworth, Rotherham specified in the Schedule to this notice.
