(Footpath 42, Braintree) (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made an Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

Notice is hereby given that the above Order made by Essex County Council, under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, has been continued in force with the consent of the Secretary of State for the Department for Transport until 01 November 2026.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close Footpath 42, in the District of Braintree. From a point approximately 445 metres from Panfield Lane, west for approximately 188 metres to its junction with Footpath 24.

The closure commenced on 30 January 2026 and will be in place until the access road construction is completed.

(Boarded Barns Road, The Salings/Shalford) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Boarded Barns Road, The Salings/Shalford in the District of Braintree, from the junction with Shalford Green to the junction with Bardfield Road a distance of approximately 1680m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 17th August 2026 for 9 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2405701 & EP201EH2405694 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Shalford Green, Victoria Hill, Hyde Lane, Bardfield Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 30th July 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Crabb's Hill, Hatfield Peverel) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Crabb's Hill, Hatfield Peverel in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 180m south west of its junction with Church Road for a distance of approximately 30m in a south westerly direction.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 19th August 2026 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03167313859 – Anglian Water Business (National)). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while jetting replacement works are undertaken by Anglian Water Business (National).

An alternative route is available via Sportsmans Lane, Nounsley Road, Utting Road, Maldon Road, Church Road and vice versa (with access only into Crabb's Hill).

The Order will come into effect on 30th July 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Cornish Hall End, Finchingfield) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Cornish Hall End, Finchingfield in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 280m south east of its junction with Hallsford Lane for a distance of approximately 100m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 17th August 2026 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411001WGSK266J – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by Openreach.

An alternative route is available via B1057, B1054, B1053, B1057 and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 30th July 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Mill Lane, Cressing) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Mill Lane, Cressing in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 190m south west of its junction with Braintree Road for a distance of approximately 500m in a south westerly then north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 17th August 2026 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008WGRL3K0NL2CSB – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole testing works are undertaken by Openreach.

An alternative route is available via Mill Lane, Braintree Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 30th July 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Rolley Lane, Kelvedon) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Rolley Lane, Kelvedon in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Church Road for a distance of approximately 30m in a north easterly then south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 4th August 2026 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03166047479/1 – Anglian Water Business (National). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while stoptap replacement works are undertaken by Anglian Water Business (National).

An alternative route is available via High Street, New Road, Church Road and vice versa (with access only into Rolley Lane).

The Order came into effect on 16th July 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(South Street, Braintree and Bocking) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of South Street, Braintree and Bocking in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Railway Street to its junction with Notley Road a distance of approximately 570m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 6th August 2026 for 1 night (20:00–05:00), or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2402932A – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while manhole cover renewal works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via B1256, A131, A120, B1256 and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 16th July 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
