What is happening?
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U6500 HAMILTON ROAD, NEWMARKET
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U6500 Hamilton Road, Newmari<et from 150 metres north of the junction with Rowley Drive for 40 metres northbound to facilitate pipe repairs.
Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Hamilton Road, Edinburgh Road, Elmin~ Road, Fred archer way, theA142, theA1304, Hamilton Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 27/07/2026 - 29/07/2026 but, if necessaiy, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
