Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the lengths of road as detailed in the Schedule below.

Further advance warnings of dates/ times will be displayed on site prior to the said closures taking effect. This Order may permit the said closures in any order, or simultaneously as required. It is anticipated that all works will be completed by 15:30hrs on 28th July 2026, but the Order can continue until the said works have been completed for a maximum duration of 18 months.

The reason for the closure is for works on behalf of Severn Trent Water.

The reason for the closure is for works by National Grid.

NOTICE is hereby given that Gloucestershire County Council has made a Variation Order under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Traffic Management Act 2004 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will vary the Gloucestershire County Council On Street Parking Order 2017 (the 2017 Order) by introducing the restrictions detailed in The Schedule below on various roads in Quedgeley Town, Gloucestershire.

This Variation shall come into operation on 27th July 2026.

The lengths of roads fall within the Town of Quedgeley within the City of Gloucester in the County of Gloucestershire. The usual exemptions will apply to Statutory Undertakers and Local Authority vehicles carrying out duties in exercise of their statutory powers, and also in the case of emergency services vehicles and disabled person’s vehicles.

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the relevant provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 490109 Whaddon Road from its junction with Wymans Road to its junction with Prestbury Road for a distance of approximately 330 metres.

The reason for the said closure and restriction is to facilitate the safe movement and dispersal of road users and pedestrians before, during and after various matches and events at Cheltenham Town Football Club.

The said road is expected to be closed and restricted on various dates between 8th August 2026 and 29th May 2027 where the presence of approved signage will indicate when the closure/ restriction is in force.
