Warwickshire County Council

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
Warwickshire County Council has made the following Temporary Traffic Orders: 

COLESHILL ROAD, CURDWORTH
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic from its junction with Kingsbury Rd to the Post Office creating a one-way traffic flow between the Post Office and the junction of Kingsbury Road. In addition, vehicle traffic will be prohibited from making a Right Turn from Minworth Road onto Coleshill Road and from Kingsbury Road onto Coleshill Road. Vehicular traffic will be prohibited from making a Right Turn from St Nicholas Walk onto Coleshill Road and from Glebe Fields onto Coleshill Road.

Reason for Order: To enable works for cable overlay, link box replacement/installation & associated works.

Order Commences: 27 July 2026 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 9 August 2026.

Access & Diversion: Kingsbury Road, Minworth Road, Minworth Parkway, Farthing Lane and vice versa.

KINGSBURY ROAD (LAYBYS), CURDWORTH
Order Effect: The bus stop laybys will be closed to vehicular traffic.
Reason for Order: Essential utility works.
Order Commences: 27 July 2026 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 9 August 2026.

B4117 HIGH STREET, B4114 BLYTHE ROAD/BIRMINGHAM ROAD, COLESHILL
Order Effect: Roads closed between the junctions with the B4114 Blythe Road/Birmingham Road and Maxstoke Lane. In addition, the prohibition of Right Turns at crossroads junction High Street, B4114 Blythe Road/Birmingham Road, Coleshill will be temporarily suspended.

Reason for Order: Carriageway resurfacing and associated works, 09.30hrs - 15.30hrs weekdays.

Order Commences: 27 July 2026 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 4 August 2026.

Access & Diversion: Clockwise – B4117 Coventry Road, Southbound on A446 to Coleshill Heath Roundabout, Northbound on A446 to Coleshill Police Island and B4114 Birmingham Road. Anti-clockwise – B4114 Birmingham Road, Southbound A446 and B4117 Coventry Road. While works are in progress, access/egress to/from Sumner Road to be via Parkfield Road and access/egress to/ from Church Hill to be via the B4114 Blythe Road.

D49 BIRCHMOOR ROAD, POLESWORTH
Order Effect: Road Closed to vehicular traffic from Cockspur Street to Dordon Road.

Reason for Order: Footway reconstruction, carriageway resurfacing and associated works weekdays only 08.00hrs - 17.00hrs.

Order Commences: 29 July 2026 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 7 August 2026.

Access & Diversion: Fairfields Hill, Market Street, Tamworth Road, Hermitage Lane, Cockspur Street and vice versa. Access/egress to/ from Dexter Way may be restricted whilst works are in progress. Contractor: Balfour Beatty, Tel: 03452 415302.

ASH GROVE, KINGSBURY
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.
Reason for Order: Duct laying works.
Order Commences: 27 July 2026 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 29 July 2026.
Access & Diversion: No diversion available.

FIELDING CLOSE, ATHERSTONE
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.
Reason for Order: Duct laying works.
Order Commences: 29 July 2026 for up to 18 months.

WATTON LANE, WATER ORTON
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic from Gypsy Lane to Gilson Road.
Reason for Order: Works on water network.
Order Commences: 29 July 2026 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 30 July 2026.
Access & Diversion: Watton Lane, Lichfield Road, Marsh Lane, New Road, Coleshill Road and vice versa.

NEW STREET, BADDESLEY ENSOR
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.
Reason for Order: Water pipe repair works.
Order Commences: 30 July 2026 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 1 August 2026.
Access & Diversion: New Street, The Common, Keys Hill and vice versa.

COTON BRIDGE, COTON ROAD, NETHER WHITACRE
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.
Reason for Order: To enable waterproofing to bridge structure.
Order Commences: 9 March 2026 for up to 18 months Unfortunately, these works were delayed but have now been rescheduled as follows: 3 August - 28 August 2026.
Access & Diversion: Coton Road (A4097 Island, Coton Bridge), Kingsbury Road rbt, Kingsbury Road, Kingsbury Road rbt, Kingsbury Road, Kingsbury Road (Dunton Island), Lichfield Road, Hams Hall Island, Lichfield Road, Lichfield Road rbt, Stonebridge Road, Coleshill Police Island, Birmingham Road, Blythe Road, Station Road, Coton Road and vice versa.

Warwickshire County Council proposes to make the following Temporary Traffic Orders:

DEXTER LANE, KINGSBURY
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.
Reason for Order: Works to excavate and renew burst mains.
Order Commences: 10 August 2026 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 9 September 2026.
Access & Diversion: Knowle Hill, Hurley Lane, Camp Farm Road, Foul End Lane and vice versa.
Contractor: Severn Trent Water Ltd, Tel: 0800 783 4444.

COLESHILL STREET, ATHERSTONE
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic. In addition, the oneway traffic flow on Coleshill Street, Atherstone will be temporarily suspended.
Reason for Order: To enable lining and patching works.
Order Commences: 11 August 2026 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 12 August 2026.
Access & Diversion: Long Street, Station Street.

HIPSLEY LANE, BAXTERLEY
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.
Reason for Order: Essential works for reinforcement scheme.
Order Commences: 10 August 2026 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 21 August 2026.
Access & Diversion: Main Road, Baxterley Road, Tamworth Road, Hurley Common, Brick Kiln Lane, Knowle Hill, Atherstone Road, Atherstone Lane and vice versa.

KINGSBURY ROAD SERVICE ROAD, CURDWORTH
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.
Reason for Order: To enable various works in connection with the reinforcement scheme.
Order Commences: 11 August 2026 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 21 August 2026.
Access & Diversion: No diversion available.

OLD MILL ROAD, COLESHILL
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.
Reason for Order: To enable works for provision of a new service.
Order Commences: 10 August 2026 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 14 August 2026.
Access & Diversion: Old Mill Road, High Brink Road, Colemeadow Road, Birmingham Road, High Street.
Contractor: Cadent Gas, Tel: 0800 111 999.

For all of the above temporary orders, pedestrian access to and egress from properties and land situated adjacent to the length of road to be closed will be maintained at all times. Vehicular access will be maintained where possible.
