TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):
ORDER NO. MCC 151492042: The City of Manchester (Dennison Avenue, Old Moat Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2026 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Dennison Avenue. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Dennison Avenue, Mouldsworth Avenue vice versa. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate UU works. It is expected that the works will be in progress from the 4th August 2026 to the 6th August 2026. The order shall come into operation on the 4th August 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.

The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Dobbinets Lane. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Dobbinets Lane, Floats Road, Clay Lane, Barnacre Avenue, Newall Road, Whitecarr Lane vice versa. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate cleaning a overflowing brook and installing a new manhole. It is expected that the works will be in progress from the 3rd August 2026 to the 7th August 2026. The order shall come into operation on the 3rd August 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
