TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):
ORDER NO. MCC 151469329 : The City of Manchester (Clumber Road & Carlton Range, Gorton & Abbey Hey Ward)(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2026 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Clumber Road From Hyde Road to Rufford Place & Carlton Range From Hyde Road to Columbia Avenue, The alternative routes for traffic will be: Clumber Road, Kingsdale Road & Columbia Avenue, Westbourne Range. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate Gas main replacement works. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 3rd August 2026 to 14th August 2026.The order shall come into operation on 3rd August 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Dated: 24th July 2026.

MCC 151520378: The City of Manchester (Smedley Road, Harpurhey Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) & (Suspension of One-One Way Traffic Orders 2026 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Smedley Road from Queens Road to Batty Street & Suspension of One-One Way Traffic from Batty Street to Collyhurst Road. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Smedley Road, Collyhurst Road and Vice Versa. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate remedial works It is expected that the works will be in progress from 3rd August 2026 to 12th October 2026.The order shall come into operation on 3rd August 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
