Notice is given that the Council of the City of Peterborough has made an Order pursuant to section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:

The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order 2026 –
Goldhay Way                                                                                       Ref: 27-141

The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Goldhay Way, southbound as lies between Orton Parkway and Paxton Road. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: Orton Parkway, Fletton Parkway, leave at junction 2. The proposed order will come into force on the 24/07/2026 and will continue until the telecoms upgrade works have been completed or until the 23/07/2027, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place between 09:00 - 15:00 from the 24/07/2026 to the 03/08/2026. For further information please contact

The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order –
Egar Way, Bretton 2026                                                                    Ref: 27-142

The effect of which is to stop any pedestrian or cyclist from proceeding along the footpath/cycle path known as Egar Way, Bretton, as lies between 5 and 20 Egar Way. The Council is satisfied that pedestrians and cyclists should be prohibited due to works being proposed to be executed on the above footpath/cycle path. The alternative route for pedestrians and cyclists affected by this Order is: Pelham Close, Loder Avenue, South Bretton Cyclepaths, footpaths around Woolgard Egar Way etc, Elliot Way and vice versa. The Order will come into operation on the 29/07/2026 and will continue until the stoptap replacement works have been completed or until the 28/01/2027, whichever is the earlier. Dairy Drove, Thorney                                                                         Ref: 27-143

The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Dairy Drove, Thorney, as lies between Knarr Fen Road and Teal Barns. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: A47, Knarr Fen Road and vice versa. The proposed order will come into force on the 29/07/2026 and will continue until the duct installation works have been completed or until the 28/07/2027, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place between 08:00 - 18:00 from the 29/07/2026 to the 04/08/2026. The effect of which is to stop any vehicle or pedestrian from proceeding along the road and footway known as Peterborough Road (Stanground), as lies between 145 Peterborough Road (Farcet) and Bedstone Way. The Council is satisfied that all traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: Peterborough Road (Farcet), Broadway, London Road, The Serpentine, Fletton Parkway, Fletton Parkway J3a, Fletton Parkway link Road from J3a to J4, Fletton Parkway J4, Peterborough Road (Stanground) and vice versa. The alternative route for pedestrians affected by this order will be signed on site. The proposed order will come into force on the 27/07/2026 and will continue until the bridge maintenance works have been completed or until 26/01/2027, whichever is the earlier. The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Glinton Road, Helpston as lies between points 20 metres either side of Helpston Level Crossing. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: via Glinton Rd, Maxey Rd (Helpston), Maxey Road (Maxey), High Street, Maxey Road (Northborough), A15, Helpston Road (Glinton), Helpston Road (Etton) and vice versa. The proposed Order will come into force on the 25/07/2026 and will continue until the railway level crossing maintenance works have been completed or until the 24/07/2027, whichever is the earlier. The proposed order will come into force on the 03/08/2026 and will continue until the cut and patch works have been completed or until the 02/08/2027, whichever is the earlier. The proposed order will come into force on the 03/08/2026 and will continue until the post and sign installation works have been completed or until the 02/08/2027, whichever is the earlier. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: All Saints Road, Park Road, Prince’s Street, Dogsthorpe Road and vice versa. The proposed order will come into force on the 03/08/2026 and will continue until the communication pipe repair works have been completed or until the 02/08/2027, whichever is the earlier. The City of Peterborough Burghley Horse Trials, Peterborough. Temporary Prohibition and

Restriction Order 2026                                                                      Ref: 27-163

NOTICE is hereby given that The Council of the City of Peterborough (“the Council”) intends in not less than seven days to make the above Traffic Regulation Order under Section 16A(c) and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers. The Council is satisfied that traffic on these roads and PROW should be restricted or prohibited because of an event taking place near these roads and PROW. The effect of the Order is to bring into the effect the prohibitions and restrictions in respect of the roads, or sections of roads, and PROW as described in the Order detailed in the below schedule. The alternative routes for vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists affected by this Order are detailed in the below schedule. All diversion routes will be indicated by appropriate signage at relevant places along the roads or sections of roads affected. The below mentioned PROW will have no alternative route available for pedestrians and cyclists.

Nothing in the Order shall prevent, at any time, access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the roads, or sections of roads, described in the Order, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from, those roads.
