ROADS) (30MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2026
The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (the Act) and all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police made the above Order on 23 July 2026, the effect of which will be to:
Implement a 30mph speed limit along the following roads:
Quarry Wood Road: From its junction with Bisham Road for its entire length.
Bisham Road: Between a point 70 metres south of the centre of Marlow Bridge to a point 737 metres southwest of the bridge.
All distances are approximate.
Copies of the documents detailing the proposals can be inspected at Maidenhead Library, St Ives Road, Maidenhead, SL6 1RF, between the hours of 9:30am-5:30pm Monday, Tuesday, and Friday, 12:30pm-5:30pm Wednesday, 11am-7pm Thursday, 10am-4pm Saturday, and 11am-2pm
Sunday.
Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Order or any provision contained therein, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that a requirement of that Act or of any relevant Regulation made under it, has not been complied with, may, within six weeks from 23 July 2026 make application for the purpose to the High Court.
