Old Allen Road - Temporary Road Closure Due To Water Works

CITY OF BRADFORD METROPOLITAN DISTRICT COUNCIL

OLD ALLEN ROAD, THORNTON

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council by reason of water works proposed to be executed on or near Old Allen Road, Thornton intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall proceed in the length of Old Allen Road from a point outside No. 5 Old Allen Road to a point outside No. 21 Old Allen Road.

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works proposed to be carried out on the said length of road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the proposed Order will be available via Old Allen Road (unaffected section), Dean Lane, Egypt Road, Black Dyke Lane and vice versa.

The proposed Order will come into effect at 08:00 hours on the 3rd of August 2026 and remain in force until 18:00 hours on the 7th of August 2026 (although the closure can remain in force for up to eighteen months if necessary).
