What is happening?

BOROUGH OF ROCHDALE

(HOPWOOD AVENUE, HEYWOOD)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES ORDER)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING AT ANY TIME ORDER) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council made an Order, the effect of which is to;

(i) Temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Hopwood Avenue from its junction with Manchester Road in a westerly direction for a distance of 50 metres

(ii) Temporary prohibit vehicles from waiting at anytime along Hopwood Avenue from its junction with Hopwood Avenue, Heywood direction for a distance of 50 metres.

The Order is required to facilitate Gas mains replacement works within the carriageway.

The Order will be operative from 00:00 on the 6th July 2026 until 23:59 on the 14th August 2026.

The alternative route for vehicles will be via Manchester Road, Siddall Street, Links Road, Hopwood Avenue & vice versa.

(MANCHESTER OLD ROAD, MIDDLETON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES AND
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along and waiting at any time along Manchester Old Road from its junction with Heywood Old Road to its junction with Broad Street. 

The Order is required to facilitate the resurfacing of the carriageway.

The Order will be operative from 09.30 hours until 15.30 hours each day from the 20th July 2026 until 24th July 2026, from the 27th July 2026 until 31st July 2026, from the 3rd August 2026 until 7th August 2026 and from 08.00 hours until 18.00 hours each day from the 25th July 2026 until 26th July 2026, from the 1st August 2026 until 2nd August 2026, from the 8th August 2026 until 9th August 2026 and should take 3 days between these dates weather dependent. 

The alternative route for vehicles will be via Heywood Old Road (A6045), Manchester Road (A6045), Queen Elizabeth Way, Middleton Road, Hollin Lane (A6046), Rochdale Road (A664), Long Street (A664), Assheton Way (A664), Oldham Road, Manchester New Road (A664), Middleton Way (A576), Manchester Old Road (A576) and vice versa.

(BOARSHAW ROAD, MIDDLETON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES AND
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along and waiting at any time along Boarshaw Road from its junction with Clough Road to its junction with Lodge Street/ Morton Street.

The Order is required to facilitate the resurfacing of the carriageway.

The Order will be operative from 08.00 hours until 17.00 hours each day from the 20th July 2026 until 9th August 2026 and should take 3 days between these dates weather dependent.

The alternative route for vehicles will be via Lodge Street, Market Place, Long Street, Rochdale Road, Clough Road and vice versa.

(PILSWORTH ROAD,HEYWOOD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES ORDER)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING AT ANY TIME ORDER) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council intend, in not less than seven days, to make an Order, the effect of which will be to;

(i) Temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Pilsworth Road from its junction with Broadfield Street in a southerly direction for a distance of 150 metres 

(ii) Temporary prohibit vehicles from waiting at anytime along Pilsworth Road from its junction with Broadfield Street in a southerly direction for a distance of 150 metres. 

The Order is required to facilitate installation of electricity cable within the carriageway.

The Order will be operative from 00:00 on the 17th August 2026 until 23:59 on the 19th August 2026. 

The alternative route for vehicles will be via Pilsworth Road, Bridge Street, Bury Street, Bury New Road, Heap Brow, Moss Hall Road, Queen Elizabeth Way & vice versa.
