(C2116 Elmley Road, Ashton Under Hill) (Temporary Closure) Order 2026
Proposed Order: To close that part of C2116 Elmley Rd from its junction with U46006 Bakers Ln to its junction with U46009 Beckford Rd.
Reason: Rebuild steps and install handrail leading to war memorial by WCC.
Alternative route: C2116 The Groaten, A46 Cheltenham Road (National Highways) C2007 Haselor Ln to Hinton Cross, C2007 Netherton Ln to Haselor Ln, C2007 Netherton Ln, C2116 Main St, C2116 Elmley Castle (part) to Asthon Under Hill and vice versa.
Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 5 days.
Commencing: 17 August 2026.
EXEMPTIONS: TO PERMIT ACCESS TO ANY LAND OR PREMISES FRONTING THE HIGHWAY AFFECTED WHERE THERE IS NO OTHER FORM OF ACCESS; AND TO ALLOW THE WORKS TO BE UNDERTAKEN.
