NOTICE OF MAKING OF PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION
AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT
MODIFICATION ORDER
HIGHWAYS ACT 1980, WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE  ACT 1981

The Oxfordshire County Council,
Steeple Barton Footpath No. 8 (part) &
Footpath No. 19 (part),
Public Path Diversion and Definitive Map and
Statement Modification Order 2026

The Order made on 20 July 2026, if confirmed as made, will modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by diverting, as shown on the Order map:

Steeple Barton FP8 running from OS Grid Ref SP 4502 2590 east-south-eastwards for 220m to SP 4522 2584 and north-eastwards for 80m to BR9 at SP 4530 2585 to a new line running from OS Grid Ref SP 6746 north-eastwards for 315m to BR9 at SP 4533 2597;

Steeple Barton FP19 running from BR9 at OS Grid Ref SP 4530 2585 north-eastwards for 241m to SP 4554 2591 to a new line running from BR9 at OS Grid Ref SP 4533 2597 east-south-eastwards for 200m to SP 4551 2589, north north-eastwards for 27m to SP 4552 2591, and east-south eastwards for 18m to SP 4554 2591.

A copy can also be obtained on request from rightsofwaylegal@ oxfordshire.gov.uk

Any representations about or objections to the Orders may be sent in writing to Rights of Way Legal, Oxfordshire County Council, County Hall, New Road, Oxford OX1 1ND or rightsofwaylegal@oxfordshire.gov.uk no later than 21 August 2026. Please state the grounds on which they are made. If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, Oxfordshire County Council may confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation, any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order.
