TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990 (AS AMENDED)

THE LONDON BOROUGH OF HARINGEY (STOPPING UP OF HIGHWAYS) (GLOUCESTER ROAD) ORDER 2026

The LONDON BOROUGH OF HARINGEY hereby gives notice that it has made an order under Section 247 of the above Act authorising the stopping up of the public highway at Gloucester Road and footpath, Broadwater Farm, N17 6LB which is shown double hatched on the plan attached to the order:

“an area of highway at Gloucester Road (grid reference 532898.701 E 190130.9954 N) and comprising a maximum length of 75 metres and a maximum width of 9 metres”.

THE ORDER IS MADE to stop up the above public highway to enable the development described in the Schedule to be carried out in accordance with the planning permission granted under Part III of the above Act on 7 March 2023 with planning reference HGY/2022/0823.

COPIES OF THE ORDER AND THE RELEVANT PLAN MAY BE INSPECTED FREE OF CHARGE at the Council’s offices at ground floor reception Alexandra House, 10 Station Road, Wood Green, London N22 7TR between the hours of 9 am and 5 pm Monday to Friday excluding bank holidays and public holidays (Tel. 07989 224 012) or by requesting a copy of the order and plan via e-mail transport.planning@haringey.gov.uk (quoting reference Gloucester Road SUO 2026).

ANY PERSON AGGRIEVED BY THE MAKING OF THIS ORDER and wishing to question its validity, or any provision contained in the order, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Act or any procedural requirement or regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the making of the order may, within 6 weeks of the date of publication of this notice apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the order or of any provision contained in the order.

THE SCHEDULE

Demolition of the existing buildings and structures and erection of new mixed-use buildings including residential (Use Class C3), commercial, business and service (Class E) and local community and learning (Class F) floorspace; energy centre (sui generis); together with landscaped public realm and amenity spaces; public realm and highways works; car-parking; cycle parking; refuse and recycling facilities; and other associated works. Site comprising: Tangmere and Northolt Blocks (including Stapleford North Wing); Energy Centre; Medical Centre: Enterprise Centre: and former Moselle school site, at Broadwater Farm Estate. Demolition of all existing buildings comprising Selby Centre and the erection of four buildings. New buildings to comprise of residential accommodation (Use Class C3); and ancillary commercial accommodation (Use Class E (a), (b), & (g)). With car and cycle parking; new vehicle, pedestrian, and cycle routes; new public, communal, and private amenity space and landscaping; and all associated plant and servicing infrastructure.
