What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984- SECTION (14.1)

The council of the London Borough of Enfield intend to make the Temporary Traffic Orders described below.

LAKENHEATH, CHASE ROAD, MERRIVALE N14

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Highway Works

Operational Date and times:

30 July 2026 between 08:00 – 18:00, for 2 days or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order would be to;

Lakenheath

  • Close this road and suspend parking between Chase Road and Merrivale, on both sides of the road.

Chase Road

  • Suspend parking on this road between Fairlawn Close and Oakwood Close on both sides of the road.

Merrivale

  • Suspend parking on this road at its junction with Lakenheath for approximately 30m either side of the junction, on both sides of the road.

FOOTPATH 245 LINKING JOYCE AVENUE, GROVE STREET, LANGHEDGE LANE N18

Reason for 14(1) Order – Public Safety

Operational Date and times:

1 August 2026 at any time for 18 months or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order would be to close this footpath linking Joyce Avenue with Grove Street and Langhedge Lane.

THE TOWN & SILVER STREET EN1

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works

Operational Date and times:

3 August 2026 7:00 – 17:00hrs for 4 days or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order would be to;

The Town

  • No left turn from The Town into Silver Street EN1.

Silver Street

    • Close the northbound lane (no left turn) between The Town and Church Lane; and

  • Suspend loading, southbound side between Southbury Road and Churchbury Lane.

HARDY WAY EN2

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works

Operational Date and times:

3 August 2026, at any time for 3 days or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order would be to suspend parking on this road from outside and between Nos. 29b–33/34.

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works

Operational Date and times:

2 August 2026 at any time, for 3 days or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order would be to suspend parking from outside No.185 and opposite No.185 Town Road (2 parking places in total).

ACCESS ROAD FROM SOUTHBURY ROAD & 147-281 GREAT CAMBRIDGE ROAD EN1

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works

Operational Date and times:

3 August 2026, at any time for 3 days or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order would be to suspend parking on the east side of this road between No.s 147-161 and to close the footway between No.s 147-151/153.

RIDGE AVENUE NE1

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works

Operational Date and times:

At any time on 4 August 2026 for 3 days or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order would be to close the westbound cycle lane, from a point outside No.69 Ridge Avenue, for approximately 50m.

GOLF RIDE EN2

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works

Operational Date and times:

At any time on 4 August 2026 for 4 days or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order would be to suspend parking on this road, from its junction with Cypress Avenue, for approximately 70m northwards.

SOUTHBURY ROAD EN1

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works

Operational Date and times:

At any time on the 3 August 2026 for 3 days or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order would be to suspend parking on this road between the common boundary of No.s 52–82.

RIDGE CREST EN2

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works

Operational Date and times:

At any time on the 3 August 2026 for 1 day or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order would be to close this road, from a point outside No.102 to its junction with The Ridgeway.

Operational Date and times:

At any time on the 6 August 2026 for 2 days or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order would be to close this road between No.s 7–17.

PARK ROAD N9

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works

Operational Date and times:

Between 21:00 – 05:00hrs on the 4 August 2026 for 1 night or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order would be to close this road between its junctions with Fore Street N9 and Park Avenue.

SHAFTESBURY ROAD N18

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works

Operational Date and times:

At any time on the 4 August 2026 for 4 days or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order would be to suspend parking on this road, northside, from its junction with Branscombe Avenue for approximately 20m eastwards.

HOPPERS ROAD N21

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works

Operational Date and times:

between 09:30 – 15:30 on 4 August 2026 for 1 day or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order would be to close this road and suspend parking between College Road and No.s 130/128, on both sides of the road.

MAYFIELD ROAD EN3

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works

Operational Date and times:

4 August 2026, at any time for 3 days or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order would be to close this road and suspend parking from a point between No.s 2 - 44/46 on both sides of the road.
