Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to:- (a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Mid Street (D384) South Nutfield which comprises the railway bridge known as Nutfield Station Railway (D384/1002) and 20m either side of the bridge; and (b) suspend “Surrey County Council Mid Street (D384) and North Station Approach (D383) South Nutfield Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026” insofar as it relates to the length of road specified in sub-paragraph
(a) only. This Order is required to enable Amey Consulting South East Anglia to carry out bridge examination and/or bridge works, which is anticipated to be completed within overnight, between 10pm and 6am, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 12 August 2026.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary restrictions and suspension of the Order will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
Alternative Route – Mid Street, Kings Cross Lane, Bower Hill Lane, Sandy Lane and Mid Street or vice versa.
