Water Lane - Temporary Road Closure Due To Gas Works
What is happening?
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE - WATER LANE, TOTTON & ELING, NEW FOREST
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council intends to make an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: that part of Water Lane between its junction with Hammonds Lane and its junction with Popes Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES:
Phase 1- Ringwood Road, Calmore Road, Mayfield Avenue, Salisbury Road.
Phase 2- Ringwood Road, Calmore Road.
Phase 3- Hammonds Lane, Ringwood Road, Calmore Road.
DURATION OF ORDER: from Monday 3rd August 2026 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 6 weeks and this order will be in operation 24 hours a day).
The Temporary Road Closure has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for AJM Utilities to complete gas mains replacement. If there are any queries or enquires regarding this Order please contact: customer@sgn.co.uk.
