Bentworth - Multiple Temporary Road Closures Due To Openreach Utility Works

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE -STATION ROAD & VILLAGE STREET, BENTWORTH, EAST HAMPSHIRE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council intends to make an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.

ROAD TO BE CLOSED:

1) Village Street between its junction with School Lane and continuing to a point 500 metres East on Village Street. (03/09-05/09)

2) Station Road between its junction with Village Street and continuing to a point 500 metres North on Station Road. (05/08-07/08)

3) Station Road between its junction with Drury Lane and continuing to a point 500 metres North on Station Road. (07/08-08/08)

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE:

1) School Lane, Drury Lane, Station Road.

2) Village Street, School Lane, Drury Lane.

3) Drury Lane, Burkham Lane, Spain Lane, Basingstoke Road.

DURATION OF ORDER: from Wednesday 5th August 2026 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 2 days working between the hours 21:00-06:00).

The Temporary Road Closure has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for Openreach to complete utility works.
