B6341 ROTHBURY TO BLUE KNOX
B6341 BLUE KNOX TO NEW MOOR
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on the following sections in the County of Northumberland.
• B6341 Rothbury to Blue Knox from its junction with the U4101 heading in a north easterly direction for a length of 222 metres
• B6341 Blue Knox to New Moor from its point with Rothbury to Blue Knox heading in a northerly direction for a length of 527 metres
The Order is to be effective from the 12th August 2026 until the 19th August 2026.
It is expected that the road will only be closed on the 12th August 2026 between the hours of 09:30 until 15:30 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 19th August 2026.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being B6341, B6344, A697 and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The closure has been requested by Sunbelt Rentals on behalf of BT Openreach to carry out pole testing. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.

SECTION 14(1)
PARISH OF EGLINGHAM
PUBLIC BRIDLEWAYS NOS 1 AND 3
(TEMPORARY PUBLIC BRIDLEWAY CLOSURE) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use of Parish of Eglingham Public Bridleways Nos 1 and 3 in the County of Northumberland.
The lengths of Public Bridleways which are affected are as follows:-
Public Bridleway No 1
From a point on the southern boundary of woodland 60 metres north of the C47 road in a northerly direction for a distance of 300 metres to the junction with Parish of Ellingham Public Bridleway No 7 at the parish boundary south of Wandylaw Bog.
Public Bridleway No 3
From a point 520 metre north-east of Haughterslaw on the southern boundary of woodland in north-easterly direction for a distance of 160 metres to the junction with Public Bridleway No 40 and Parish of Ellingham Public Bridleways Nos 6 & 9 at the parish boundary, south-east of Wandylaw Bog.
There are no alternative routes.
The Order is to be effective from the 7th August 2026 until the 7th February 2027.

U3125 VICTORIA TERRACE QUEEN STREET
BACK LANE ALNWICK
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION
ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order under Section 14 (1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. This is in accordance with section 15(8) of said Act and Regulation 7 of The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Procedure Regulations 1992 in that the following restrictions will continue to be in force:
Temporary Road Closure:
The U3125 Victoria Terrace Queen Street Back Lane Alnwick to its junction with Queens Road for its entire length (“the road”) in the County of Northumberland.
An alternative route is available for vehicular traffic being U3125 Bridge Street Back Lane Queens Road and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.
The closure has been requested by Northumbrian Water as urgent sewer repair works are required.

This Order came into force on 19th July 2026 and will remain in force until the 7th August 2026

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 –
SECTION 14(1)
B1337 GRANGEMOOR ROAD
WIDDRINGTON STATION
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the B1337 Grangemoor Road Widdrington Station for a distance of 20 metres either side of the level crossing in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective on the 2nd August 2026 until the 3rd August 2026.
It is expected that the road will only be closed on the 2nd August 2026 until the 3rd August 2026 between the hours of 23:00 and 05:00 during this period.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being B1337, A1068, A197, B1337 and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The closure has been requested by Chevron Traffic Management in order to lift out the level crossing for tamper works. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
